I'm Niall Fitzgerald, also known as The Big Munro! I have been helping customers to create stunning and classic highlandwear outfits for some years now and felt it was time to go it alone and work for myself.
Big Munro is all about customers who want to create their ideal outfit for weddings, social functions and everyday wear! I can help you to create individual, sartorially elegant outfits with elegance and comfort. Don't worry if you're not sure of anything, I'm on hand to answer all of your questions. Unlike a larger supplier, I am a one-person business so if you need personal attention throughout the sales and making process, I'll be on hand to answer all of your questions. I am deeply passionate about quality highlandwear and obsessive about making sure my customers get the best buying experience of their lives!
I only supply outfits on a purchase basis however should your needs include hiring outfits for other members of your party, I can provide invaluable advice on options, prices and fittings. Look Your Best
Own your outfit and you can accessorise it with a bit of confidence. I will take detailed measurements and work with you to create your perfect highland outfit. You may select from several ranges of cloth including thousands of tartans and tweeds.
You will have a choice of various styles and we can even adjustments to fit to accommodate weight gain or loss. Most importantly, you’ll feel confident and look great.

Private Fittings
Personal Service
I provide a Private Fittings services to all clients. Your fitting will be on a one to one basis and you can be reassured that the same attention to detail will be consistent throughout the making and fitting of your outfit.
With my Private Fitting appointment service, each client’s measurements and style preferences, are integrated into their order.Working with the finest cloth and accessories suppliers, experienced kiltmakers and tailors, your outfit will fit right, look great, and wear well for the occasion.
Personal Dressing
Let me help you look your best on your big day!
I can come to your venue and dress the Groom and other guests in their kilt outfits, ready to look braw for the ceremony and the photos! This works very well for destination weddings where guests are stying the night before and with guests who may not be regular kilt-wearers.
I can take care of little last-minute worries like lost buttons, polishing shoes, getting the perfect tie knot and all sorts of little details. Youir photographer can even come in and take snaps to give you a treasured memento of your special day.

Kilts
All Big Munro kilts are made to measure in Scotland from cloth made at local mills. I can make kilts of varying sizes, yardage and styles individually tailored and sewn to ensure the perfect fit. You will have an abundant choice of cloth ranging from pure wool tartan, polyviscose right through to Harris Tweed.
Jackets, Waistcoats, Tartan Suits and Trews
You will have the choice of a wide variety of stock or made to measure jacket and waistcoat sets ensuring that your Big Munro outfit fits perfectly and is just right for the occasion.
I can provide made to measure trousers, trews and suits in a range of styles and fabrics according to your preference and taste.
Accessories
I'm on hand to offer the very best advice about how to complete your outfit ensuring you are ready for any occasion. I offer a full range of ties, kiltpins, sgian dubhs, sporrans and much much more. We will work together to ensure that your outfit looks elegant and considered by making sure that you have full choice over every detail.
